To my dear friends at EMC...

This post has been a long time in coming. I've thought it many times over the past few months. I love each and everyone of you so much. Every Sunday as I enter into worship, I'm so overwhelmed with the love of Jesus. Sometimes, (I'm being honest here) getting to church is a HUGE battle-actually most times it's a huge battle at our house. No one's clothes ever seem to work like we planned or shoes go missing at the last minute or socks are misplaced-anyway the grumpiest of grumpy moods begins to take over and you wonder, "why bother?" Well, I must say week after week once I get there, I am able to relax and rest in Jesus. Each week I am overcome with the love and grace of Jesus. Each of you play a HUGE role in this. You may not realize it, but you do. I look around and see people filled to capacity with that Jesus water I was talking about a few posts back. That Jesus water that you are drinking IS spilling over to others and I think Dewey was right this morning. He referenced EMC(maybe in the bulletin-can't remember if I read it or he said it) as being on the brink of something BIG for Jesus. I agree with that. There is life at EMC and it is abundant. It comes from Jesus, but you guys are open to receive it and share it. That's a great thing and I don't think it will go unnoticed in the kingdom of God. Your labor is paying off. Hang on tight for the ride. You are just beginning to race downhill on that roller coaster.
Anyway, my whole point behind this is a GREAT, BIG, HUGE thank you for making church enjoyable and an actual renewal after a long week. I always feel refreshed and recharged after that morning service. Each of you play a different role in the service, but all of you are needed and used.
I love you guys!!!

Ken & Terri,

WOW!! You blessed my socks off- as my friend Shana likes to say! :) I know it wasn't towards me at all, but you feel at home at 'our' church and you see and feel Jesus at 'our' church! That is awesome! He is so Good!

We love you and your family so very much and I, for one, was elated to see your smiling faces again! I have missed Ken and his guitar playing during praise and worship!

Thank you for being so open and for sharing your heart with us. It is VERY EXCITING to think that Jesus is on the move at EMC and that we are hopefully 'spilling that Jesus water' out any chance we get! We sure are some 'cracked pots' so I am hoping it slips out or spills over as often as possible!! :)

Love you,

Cyndi

P.S. Terri, I read your comment on Meleia's 'Hot Plans Saturday' post and just for the record, I think you have a beautiful 'barn'! You always look great!!

Cyndi, I was too referring to you and Joe!!! I'm serious when I say all of you play a part. You may not have a role, but you all participate in the service. That's the great thing about EMC. AND thanks about the barn, i'm only hiding a few rotten pieces of wood right now, but I'm sure that time will reveal more...lol.

I can't tell you how much I love seeing the Richmonds in the congregation each Sunday. You are and always have been a huge blessing and inspiration to me. My prayer is that EMC will be home for you and your family.

I do love a good roller coaster, they are so much funner (not sure that's a word) when all your friends are on screaming with their hands in the air.

I love you!

Hey Terri!

I totally understand this post. I too, love the feeling at EMC. And you know what? I think what we're feeling is LOVE. Love for God and love for each other. And, you know, you, Ken and the kids are part of that too. It has been so much fun having y'all back.

We are truly a chuch that rejoices and cries with one another and we genuinely care for each other.

Thanks for vocalizing this, I think it is good and right to recognize it. Just don't forget, you're every much a part of it as any other EMCer.

Ditto to all above! There is something special that God has blessed us with at EMC. It is a body that truly loves and cares about each other. And you guys ARE a huge part of that! I love scanning the congregation each week and seeing you and your family!!

Terri and Ken,

We are so blessed to have you guys back at EMC! We know Ken from high school band, but we are looking forward to getting to know you and your whole family!

I don't know if you have ever heard what we call ourselves at EMC... "We are a fellowship of failures"... and when you think about it, that is all that any of us are. I think when we, as a church, started realizing that fact, we were able to accept and love one another. And hopefully we are fulfilling scripture..."They will know by our love!"

Blessings upon you guys!
