Scrapbook page!!!

Okay, I'm really becoming addicted to digital scrapbooking. This is what I did with the pictures from Bryn's game. I figured out how to do two page spreads at once. That was something I had to research. I've learned how to use a premade template, how to cut letters from background paper, how to make your own textured paper, how to recolor elements to match your photos(everything on this page was red and white when I downloaded it), and so much more. It has so been worth my time.

Just thought I'd share for you "hanging on the fence" people that are thinking of trying it. It is so much nicer to close the laptop and have no clean up. PLUS-in the end I will have a professionally bound leather album to keep. Woohooo!!!

Also, if you click on the picture it will get bigger so you can see the detail.
hugs,
Terri

Very, very cute. Be gone with your craftiness......it's definitely "catching". But, I must admit, your post also made it sound very daunting, and scary, too. Have you met me? Let me introduce myself? I'm Shana, the non technical, non self learner type.

But, it really is darling.

It's really not as hard as it seems. I've probably done about 25-30 layouts since I started. Once you learn something new, it sticks with you. I could buy these cool downloadable tutorials with it all right there in front of me, but I'm too cheap. I instead try to figure it out on my own or do web searches until I find something that tells me how. I've chosen to go at it the hard way because I'm cheap...ummmmm...frugal...that's a better word.

That is AWESOME!! I can't wait to start... I actually did with the book I made for my mom for her anniversary. Actually, Terri, we need to set up a Saturday 'session' for a couple of hours and work on getting us all IN THE KNOW on this! Those pages look awesome and oh, how you had me at 'close the laptop and no clean up'!! I am hooked!! Where do I sign up? :) I am going to start researching it too and making my own as well. We may have to chat this weekend!! I can't wait to see your pages!

Also, how will you print them? Where are you getting this 'leather album'?? All of these questions...

Have a blessed day!!

Okay guys- here is the link to printing out your albums. This site (best I can tell from my research online) is supposed to be best quality with best price.

I haven't printed one yet so I'm just telling you this from what I read. Also, you can get them through kodak, walgreens, not sure about walmart, snapfish, shutterfly, but they may not have the square size(8x8, 12x12,etc,) that I know you guys are used to working with. I find it hard to do 8.5x11 pages, now. I think I just go used to square. Anyway, I did print some pages individually at 2 different places and the quality was different. I preferred the pricier one. My pictures did not come out as clear...they were granier with the economy priced printer. I'll bring a book as soon as I get one done.

I'm trying to catch up on my scrapbooks right now. Maybe I need to try this. I get so tired of the clean up and with Ella around it is very hard keeping her out of everything. But, I'm like Shana, non-technical; is it pretty easy to learn??? I'm with everybody else on teaching us a class.
