There's new stuff posted on my Etsy site!!!

There's new stuff at my Etsy site!!!! Yippee!!! Sorry that it's taken me so long to get a new blog posted. Until September 31st, I was working two jobs and I think it's just taken me the last seven weeks to recuperate. I have been sewing and there are some really cool things. My friends, Ginger and Kay have been shopping for me and found these really cool Market Totes. They bought all they could find for themselves and had a few left over for me to share with you guys. I have mongrammed names, initials, "Go Dawgs!" and more on these things. I tried to find a source online for them, but no one seemed to be able to compete with the deal we got from one of those huge close out stores. We visited each store in the chain from Cleveland to Athens, GA and I think we bought all they had. I actually only have a couple left after Ginger, Kay, myself and a few others grabbed them up for Christmas gifts. Check them out.

new email and stuff!!!

Well guys, I finally figured out my email struggles...I think it had to do with the alltel/windstream changeover. I have changed my email to thatssocute @ windstream.net . (without the spaces of course). I'm trying to avoid the spam that you get when you post your email publicly online. Please update any address books to include this new email. I spent a lot of yesterday trying to figure it out. In the process, I have realized that I was missing a lot of mail and I lost some mail. With that being said, if you've been trying to reach me, try again with the new email. It's been a real struggle!

Well, here's some more new stuff that I didn't get up yesterday... A paci clip and two clippie bows that can be used with the headband or without.

New stuff that I've been doing...

I made this set for a baby gift for someone at church. It matches the minky blankie that I was talking about in one of the previous posts. Just thought you might like to see it. The bib reverses to matching fabric on the other side.

Up late and can't sleep.....

Well, I'm up really late or is it early? My three year old decided to wet the bed at 1:30 and I haven't been able to get back to sleep yet. I haven''t posted anything in awhile so I decided to update my blog.

Recently, I've made a couple of baby blankets that turned out beautiful with the taggies and chocolate brown minky. I've yet to get good photos of any of these. Pictures just don't show how really pretty and luxurious they truly are. The brown minky is just too pretty. I also made a pink and green one with sage green minky. I'm not sure I can locate any more of this color minky since I bought all that they had at the time. It really was beautiful.
I've also been making flipflops again and have really updated them a bunch. I now wrap the straps in ribbon, too. I also finally figured out a good way to make the bows/buttons interchangeable so you can change out with your outfit. I'm gonna try to get some pics of these up for you guys, too!!!
Well, I'm gonna sew for a little while and then finally try to get MORE SLEEP!!!!

New tote done!!!

Hi guys, I'm trying to do a better job of keeping up with this. It seems that I always think my life's gonna slow down and it never does.
Yesterday, I made this tote for a student teacher gift from the teacher. She asked for teacher fabric but I couldn't find any that I really liked so I decided to do my own thing...ya' know what I love doing. I love it when you guys say, "Just something purple." or "she likes animal prints" and I get to just go with it. Anyway, this is what I came up with and thought it would make great teacher gifts for the end of the year. I've already had one person order another one.
Oh, if you guys ever wonder how I decide what to put up to sell on my site. It's just whatever I have time to photo before it gets out the door. Sometimes, I take pics of stuff, but when I get ready to edit the picture it doesn't look very good... so I have to wait until I make that item again. Bad pictures just don't sell items.

Finally finished up the Group Order!!!!

Wow, that order really took some time. I don't think I was thinking it was going to take as long as it did. It was fun doing such a large order but my husband didn't think I was ever going to detach from my machine.
Well, after a such a big order...I need a break. My family and I are going camping. (Did I say I needed a break?) Yeah, Ken thinks this will be a great break...LOL. I'm exhausted from packing for four kids, me and my husband...and the sad thing is that when I get there...I still won't get to rest. I'll be setting up everything. No, really, I'm kinda excited about the adventure.

Whew, I'm swamped!

Between finishing up this group buy of towels, filling orders from around here and trying to get my tax info together-I'm swamped. Not to mention two little ones asking for food and drinks all day. It's a mad house at the Richmond's. I'm working hard to get it all done. I have to get this order done(my goal day is Thurs.). My mom called and asked about my tax info....I know, I know, I know. My paperwork for my other job is also due on Thursday. I need some rest. Maybe next week I will be able to post some pics of stuff.

Okay, I'm gonna try to get some stuff up for Ginger today!!!

Ginger, one of my best customers and sales person that I have, asked me why I don't have my koozies and my flipflops up. I really don't have a good reason other than I think I burned out on flipflops last year. They were great sellers, but they do take some time. I'm gonna try to put up some older pics that I have and work on getting some other stuff up on Etsy, too.

Last Friday, I turned 38!!!! My sweet husband gave me a great day spa package and he took the day off so that he could watch the kids while I went. It was EXTREMELY relaxing. I loved the pedicure and the facial. I could have lived without the hairstyling and the makeup. It just wasn't me. I felt like I looked older the way they fixed my hair and did my makeup, but everything else was awesome. I felt like butter when I left there. I was soooo relaxed. I'm having a hard time getting back to work after that awesome day.

On Saturday, my house was invaded by the strep throat monster, and a stomach bug. 2 of my kids were sick. Needless to say, I didn't get a whole lot done this weekend. Hopefully, things will pick up now.

today....

Let's see...my group order came through with 23 hooded towels. I've ordered my supplies and most of it came yesterday. I'll be starting to work on that today among the other orders that I also have pending. I think I'll probably start with the purple/green fabric since it came yesterday and IT'S SEW DARN CUTE!!! I'll be posting a picture just as soon as I finish one up.

My 9 year old daughter came home from school yesterday and reminded me that this morning was picture day at school. Of course, she wanted a new headband,etc.etc., so I had to get up very early this morning and stitch one up for her. I made a couple of these last week for one of her friend's birthdays and now she wanted one for her. I used the free pattern found here... http://www.heatherbailey.typepad.com/

Wow, My First Ever Blog!!!

Some people have encouraged me to start a blog to promote my sales. I decided to jump in and go for it. My first struggle was that even though I've been called "That's So Cute!" for 2 years now, someone else seems to have grabbed my name. I never went to the trouble of getting it legally so I guess it's theirs for the taking. I'm trying out "That's Sew Cute!" but we'll see if it sticks. I am very busy with a lot of spring type orders. One great Mom's group is in the process of bundle ordering a lot of my hooded towels in bulk at a discount. I'm always open to this, so if anyone else is interested let me know. I'm not sure how to post pictures but I'll start trying to learn right away! Tata for now.
